Eklo-I is the first science fiction nepali movie set in a future where humanity has fled Earth after a deadly virus outbreak.
By the year 2090, humans have left the planet, and only a lone survivor remains hidden in the remote mountains of Nepal’s Himalayas. When two astronauts return to Earth searching for answers, they uncover this sole human and a hidden world beneath the snow, where mysterious guardians and unknown dangers await.
Together, they must unravel the truth about the world that was lost and the forces that now roam its surface, including strange threats and remnants of life no one expected.
The film brings together an international cast including Pradeep Khadka as Kalki, Jamie Bacon as Zach, Kabita Nepali as Ariel, Benisha Hamal as Mara, and Vijay Lama as Bhisma, blending Nepali storytelling with science fiction elements rarely seen in local cinema.
