Namaste! You are warmly welcomed to the sacred, religious, and touristic site of Krishna Thumki Jhapa.
Krishna Thumki is a beautiful and peaceful hill located in Mechinagar-1, Jhapa, 17 kilometers north of Kakarvitta, at the confluence of the Mechi and Siddhi rivers, surrounded by fascinating legends and natural beauty.
It is known as a common pilgrimage site for Hindus, Kirat, and Buddhist devotees, welcoming thousands of visitors and pilgrims every year from both Nepal and India.
According to legend, Lord Krishna grazed his cows here during the Dwapar Yuga, which is said to have given the hill its name. On the main hill, visitors can still see the footprints of a cow and a human carved into a stone, believed to be from that time. Around Krishna Thumki are six small hills (thumkis), five of which are said to represent the five Pandavas.
This place is not only spiritually important but also a famous viewpoint. From all six hills, visitors can enjoy wide panoramic views of Nepal and India, including nearby towns like Mirik and Kurseong.
Peaceful and full of natural beauty, Krishna Thumki is a perfect place for those seeking both spiritual connection and scenic relaxation in eastern Nepal.
