Illam District Hospital

I am currently as Intern as 3rd year GM Its been a since I am here, Emergency department has been delivering The best health care. Outdoor patient department has been on its peek. Hospital is relatively clean compared to others. Emergency is open 24hrs and Essential Drugs are mostly free of cost. National Insurance has been working smoothly and Most of the Drugs are covered by Insurance are available. There is 'Social Security Policy ' for those with weak economic status for them to receive quality of treatment free of cost.

There is a high level of corruption happening in the purchase of medicine at Ilam Hospital. Twenty-five years ago, this hospital used to perform kidney stone and gall bladder stone surgeries, but they don't do them now. Most of the staff work very hard and have proven themselves, but only a few powerful staff members have ruined the future of Ilam Hospital. The people of Ilam have to go to Jhapa even if they have a simple medical problem. Means, Ilam wants a huge positive change in this government hospital.

Quality medicine ... helpful duty staff.

I am posted here and I personally find that the infrastructure and services are improving here!
