Services Available at Sankhuwasabha District Hospital 24 hours Emergency Services:
Emergency services are provided round the clock by skilled doctors’, paramedics and nursing team.
Procedure and dressing Services:
This service is provided by the emergency staffs on everyday basis from 10:00am to 5:00pm except on holidays.
24 hours Laboratory Services:
Laboratory services are provided round the clock by qualified skilled Laboratory staffs.
24 hours pharmacy Services:
24 hour Pharmacy services are available.
Diagnostic Services:
24 hours on call X-ray and ultrasonography (video x-ray)
Inpatient Department (IPD):
Continuous Medical and nursing care is provided to the admitted patient in the general, maternity and post-operative ward.
Out Patient Department (OPD):
General and Orthopedics services are provided from Out Patient Department (OPD), every day from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm except on public holidays. Out Patient Department is also providing Extended Health Services (EHS) from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Surgical Services:
General minor surgeries and Ortho Surgeries are performed on scheduled or emergency basis by Medical General Practitioner (MDGP) and Orthopedic Surgeon (MS Ortho) respectively.
Directly Observed Treatment – Short course (DOTs):
Free clinical counseling and medicinal services are provided to the tuberculosis patients on everyday basis from 10:00am to 5:00pm except on holidays.
Anti Retro-viral Therapy (ART):
Free VCT/ART counseling and medicinal services are provided to the HIV patients on everyday basis from 10:00am to 5:00pm except on holidays.
Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEONC):
Comprehensive Emergency obstetric and neonatal care is provided round the clock by the gynecologist and SBA (Skilled Birth Attendant) trained staff. Neonatal care is provided with the state-of the-art Special Newborn Care Unit
Maternal and Child Health Clinic (MCH):
MCH clinic wide range of free health services to improve the health of mother and neonate like Immunization, ANC (Anti Natal Care), family planning counseling and services (temporary method: Pills, Depo Provera, IUCD, Implant), PNC (Postnatal Care), Growth monitoring of child, etc.
Dental Services:
Dental department is providing the services of extraction, filling, scaling, root canal treatment, and minor oral surgical procedures through competent and skilled dental team.
Social Service Unit:
Free of cost medicinal services is rendered to the elderly, differently-able, poor and ultra-poor people through Social Service Unit.
OCMC (One stop Crisis Management Center):
One-stop Crises Management works on the sector of Gender-based violence. It provides a different range of mental, physical, medicinal, legal, rehabilitation, etc. services to the survivors of gender-based violence in coordination collaboration with different government and non-governmental organizations.
Academic Activities:
Continuous Medical Education is conducted on a regular basis for hospital staff as well clinical and administrative exposure is provided to the Medical, Nursing, Paramedics, and Laboratory students.
