Nichajhoda Simsar (Wetland) is being referred to as the “Phewa Lake of the East”!  Situated in Mechinagar 13, amidst the serene Hatemalo Community Forest Area. This breathtaking destination is a mere 2.5 kilometers south of Charali Chowk on the East-West Highway.

In Rajbansi language, the term “Nicha” refers to the cherished prawn fish that thrives abundantly in these waters. Additionally, “Jhadi” represents the area with bushes (ghari). It is this harmonious coexistence of prawn fish and the verdant surroundings that inspired the name Nichajhoda for this remarkable wetland.
